Postdoctoral Association

Being a postdoc at BBRI means working with outstanding scientists, and also developing your potential in a very dynamic and stimulating research environment. The BBRI postdoctoral training program fosters scientific excellence, collaborative efforts and career achievement.

Postdoctoral trainees make a vital contribution to BBRI’s success. Inquisitive, early career scientists often bring new perspectives to a research problem that lead to innovative directions in the Institute’s research programs. In order to attract outstanding doctoral candidates to BBRI, the Institute awards the best postdoctoral applicants with BBRI scholar fellowships.

The postdoctoral association and its different committees will assist you throughout your experience at BBRI and will provide you with helpful information about your career advancement opportunities. You will also have many occasions to share your ideas, results and perspectives with other BBRI postdoctoral fellows.

Besides its very attractive location that allows you to reach your work place very easily and to interact with the scientific community within a few minutes (15 min ride or 30 min bus/subway to the Longwood Medical Area), BBRI offers many advantages to its postdoctoral fellows. Some of these advantages include health insurance, competitive salaries and benefits, as well as a broad array of core facilities.

Postdoctoral Association

The Postdoctoral Association provides a number of ways to interact with fellow postdocs. The association is divided into several different committees.

Share your projects, ideas and present your work informally to the postdoctoral community through the chalk-talks held every two weeks (Chalk-Talk Schedule). In addition to mentor-based instruction, postdocs have the opportunity to present their research at bi-weekly chalk talks and participate in post-seminar luncheons with invited speakers for the regular BBRI seminar series.
