Faculty Positions

The Boston Biomedical Research Institute (BBRI) seeks scientists to join our faculty.  In this search, we seek scientists who have externally funded research programs, preferably in areas that could complement our current programs in muscle and nerve biology and disease; cardiovascular biology and disease; cytoskeleton and extracellular matrix; signaling; stem cell biology, cell growth and cancer; protein structure; and proteomics.  Positions require a doctoral or medical degree and are available at the equivalent of Associate or Full Professor, commensurate with experience. We welcome cluster applications of two or more investigators as well as individual applications.

BBRI (www.bbri.org)  is a dynamic, non-profit, independent research institute that was founded in 1969, has early stage and translational research as its mission, and is located in a modern facility within minutes of multiple Boston area research universities and medical centers. BBRI is also the host institution for an NIH-funded Wellstone Muscular Dystrophy Cooperative Research Center.  Our current faculty are a diverse and collaborative group who use state-of-the-art technologies and innovative structural, biochemical, immunological, cellular, genetic, and mathematical approaches to further our understanding of molecular mechanisms relevant to biomedicine.  BBRI provides a flexible, non-bureaucratic research environment designed by and for scientists.  An extensive benefit package is extended to all members of the Institute.
