Sundberg Laboratory
Our research spans the basic to the applied. We are fundamentally interested in protein molecular recognition and seek to understand the rules that govern protein-protein specificity and affinity. Our work is disease-based and aims to elucidate the molecular bases of several infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS and toxic shock syndrome, as well as mechanisms that contribute to cancer. Furthermore, we develop novel protein-based therapeutics to counteract these diseases.
