Cos 7 Cell Transfection

1-2 hours prior to transfection: Remove the media and replace with 10ml of Fetal Bovine Serum, but without antibiotic

1. In a tube, add 30ug of plasmid DNA and bring final volume to 1ml with DMEM(-Ab/-S)
2. In second tube, add 50ul of lipofectamine2000 and 950ul of DMEM (-/-).
3. Within five minutes of of dilution of lipofectamine, mix the two tubes.
4. Incubate at RT for 20 minutes.
5. Add the entire amount dropwise to the plate containing cells.
6. Incubate at 37C (5% CO2) overnight.
7. Harvest the following day.
