Job Title: Research Assistant
Research Assistant Position in a life sciences discipline.

A Research Assistant position is available beginning in September 2008. The duties include providing technical support for a biomedical research laboratory, and original independent research supervised by the principal investigator and/or senior lab members. The research interests of the lab include skeletal muscle stem cells and cancer.

Candidates with 1-2 years of formal laboratory research experience, or Masters of Science-level training, in molecular and cell biology are preferred. Proficiency with FACS, cell culture, and histology are also desirable.

Job Title: Research Technician
Research Technician Position in Cell Signaling, Cancer Biology, and Stem Cell Biology

A Research Technician Position is available, beginning July 15th, to study the molecular basis of novel regulators of the Hedgehog signaling pathway.  The research will utilize Drosophila and mammalian cell lines to analyze how new regulators of Hedgehog signaling interact with known regulators of the Hedgehog pathway and how they regulate the growth of cancer cells.  A variety of techniques, including common molecular biology techniques, transgenic Drosophila, reporter assays, RNA interference, high-throughput screening, and mass spectroscopy, will be employed.

Research Assistant Position in Mass Spectrometry-based Proteomics

A Research Assistant Position is available beginning in October 2008. The duties include providing technical support for a biomedical research laboratory, maintaining lab supplies and lab equipment, monitoring laboratory personnel compliance with safety regulations, supervising junior laboratory support personnel, and original independent research supervised by the principal investigator.
